Exquisitely restored, Palazzo de Piro is Infinitely Xara's Flagship multicultural centre, hosting the Extension of the Metropolitan Cathedral Museum, The Museum of Tools, Trades and Traditions, Xpresso Café & Bistro and a fully functional venue for meetings, functions and events of all sorts.
Unique in its flexibility as a venue, Palazzo de Piro has been transformed into one of Malta’s premier hubs of culture and activity.
The Palazzo features a program of various collections held by the Metropolitan Cathedral Museum and is also host to a wide variety of artistic events. Summer sees the start of open air artistic events performed within the picturesque courtyard while art exhibitions, concerts and seminars are organised throughout the year.
Palazzo de Piro is also fully functional as a venue for catered meetings, conferences, banquets, receptions and private functions. With a number of stately and inter-connecting rooms, the Infinitely Xara Catering Team, led by Chef de Cuisine Kevin Bonello, can provide dining for groups of 10 to as many as 800 guests in our unique venue.
Xpresso Café and Bistro, situated on the ground floor as well as the courtyard, is open to the public 7 days a week. Enjoying spectacular views of the island, Xpresso Café and Bistro is ideal for coffee, tea, lunch or dinner during the Summer period. Whether getting together with friends and family or meeting business partners over a light meal, the experience promises to be a feast for all one’s senses to enjoy.
Palazzo de Piro also features the Museum of Tools, Trades and Traditions. Built around a single private collection, the museum presents a contemporary assemblage of fascinating objects and tools. From the intricacies of lacemaking to the ingenuity of woodworking tools and an array of measuring devices, the visit offers some original discoveries and an exploration of creative diversity and innovation.
